Parking Changes, effective Nov 2008:

In order to fully coordinate campus curb colors with those customarily used in public/commercial areas, Biola will be making the following changes in the next several weeks:

  • All 30-minute parking curbs will be painted green, the standard color for short-term, limited-time parking spaces.
  • Yellow loading zone curbs will not change.
  • Employee (faculty/staff) parking curbs or bumpers will be changed from green to a neutral gray and stenciled with black letters: FACULTY/STAFF ONLY
  • Student spots will be changed to a neutral gray without any stenciling.
  • Disability/handicap parking will be changed to blue.

According to Facilities Services, this change will make Biola's short-term and employee parking spaces more recognizable for visitors.

The University is working to maximize use of existing parking spaces, while awaiting plans for construction of a new parking structure. Over summer 2008, the university added 68 motorcycle spaces, to all lots except Lot J (between Sigma Chi and Facilities Services). Motorcycle riders are asked to please use these spaces so that full-sized spaces are available for cars.

Visitor parking is reserved for Lot D, off La Mirada Blvd. behind the School of Business. However, visitors who pick up a visitor pass from the Gatehouse may park in any student or employee spot.
