Beachcomber Apartments

About the Beachcomber Apartments
Purchased by Biola in 2005, the Beachcomber Apartment Building is part of what is known as 'The Block,' a row of apartment buildings located a half-mile from the Biola campus. Beachcomber is designated for undergrad students who are 20 years or older by the first day of Fall classes. It is staffed by a paraprofessional Resident Coordinator.
Beachcomber contains one- and two-bedroom apartments. There is one laundry room on the ground floor. Beachcomber is co-ed, with male and female students living in separate apartments. While there is no lobby or lounge per se, there is a large central courtyard that provides social space.
Amenities
Beachcomber is air conditioned via wall units. Each apartment is furnished with a couch, one arm chair or love seat, one coffee table, one corner table, a dining table with four chairs, a microwave, a refrigerator, an oven/stove, and a vacuum cleaner.
Each student is provided the same furniture in each bedroom: a desk, a 2-shelf bookcase, 1 desk chair, a 3-drawer dresser or drawer unit, a wardrobe or closet, 1 bed frame, 1 mattress (36" x 74" innerspring mattress), and 1 mattress cover. Each bedroom also has one telephone, one wastebasket, and window coverings (blinds or drapes).
Since you have your own kitchen, you will need cookware, dishware/glassware/silverware, and kitchen utensils. We suggest that you talk to your roommates first to see what they are bringing and what you could share!
