Welcome

Greetings! The Annual Student Congress on Racial Reconciliation (SCORR) enters its 15th year. It is a blessing to reflect back at the Lord’s goodness and faithfulness to this yearly event and with great anticipation we look forward to what He has in store for us. Through the years SCORR has been a catalyst for students, faculty and staff to gather and learn from one another through dialogue, prayer and worship. The need is as great as ever for us to continue to grow and pursue the transformation our institutions need.

This year’s theme, “Your Kingdom Come,” directs our attention to the Kingdom of God on earth as the basis for justice and reconciliation in Christian colleges/universities. The distinctives of love, grace, humility and justice must find its foundation in the scriptures and be guided by the move of the Holy Spirit in our lives daily.

As you engage one another during the conference, it is our prayer that the Lord will bless and challenge you. Through the keynote speakers, workshop presenters, time of corporate worship and celebration through the arts, we earnestly desire that transformation occurs within us and so that the world will be transformed through us.

Our goal is to be conformed into the image of Christ and to see God’s Kingdom “on earth as it is in Heaven.”

I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible. Let’s prepare for a time of discovery, fellowship and fun.
