Leadership & Service
Associated Students
Biola University’s Associated Student Government represents the student body on an administrative level, giving ear to their voices, providing services, and facilitating events necessary to foster a Christ-centered community. There are dozens of appointed and elected positions, including AS President and Vice-President, who meet regularly with the University President and the Board of Trustees.
Resident Assistants
Every February the Residence Life team hires nearly 100 RAs; you could be just the person they need. The Res Life program exists for its students, with the express purpose of influencing their holistic education. The hopes and aspirations of the Res Life program at Biola University are hopes and aspirations for its resident students, especially its Resident Assistants.
New Student Orientation
Student Orientation Service (SOS) is a diverse group of 57 student leaders who are trained to help incoming freshmen and transfers navigate their way as they enter this new community. Share your experience (and even your mistakes) and help someone else. Come by SOS/Student Transitions (Student Services Bldg.) and we’ll fill you in.
Be a Tutor
Tutoring positions are available to undergraduate students who have earned a “B+” or better in all subjects they wish to tutor. We are also looking for students who are available 5-10 hours per week, who have excellent communication skills, are self-motivated, enjoy working with others, are willing to learn new skills and are responsible. Stop by the Learning Center (upper level Library) for an application.
