Forensics Team Nails First Place

The Biola forensics team finished in 1st place of the Division II Individual Events Sweepstakes at the National Christian College Forensics Association (NCCFA).

According to Dorothy Alston Calley, Director of Individual Events for Biola Forensics, “This may be the only tournament each year where students are encouraged and honored by their judges and peers for presenting pieces with Christian social significance. It is a blessing for Biola Forensics to support this important organization.”

The national tournament was held March 7-10 at Belmont University in Nashville, TN.  This year over 20 schools from across the country participated.

Jennifer Martin, a freshman Communication Studies major, won first place in Novice Individual Events, while Kyle Danielson, a senior Communication Studies major, finished sixth place overall in the Open division. Other Biola students who were recognized for their achievements were Megan Burbidge (senior, Communication Studies major), Scott Munekawa (junior, Business major), and Travis Rasmussen (sophomore, Psychology major).
