Imperial Hwy Repairs Won't End Soon

Road construction near the intersection of Biola Ave and Imperial Hwy will go on for several more months.

One-lane traffic on Imperial Highway westbound between Telegraph Rd. and Valley View will be the norm for much of 2009, according to La Mirada's Public Works Department.

The construction, administered by by the LA County Sanitation District, involves replacement of aging sewer lines. The sewer line that runs under Imperial Hwy is a major trunk, and its replacement is a significant project.

Lane reductions and speed limitations will likely continue through August 2009. Alternate routes (such as Rosecrans) are suggested, especially during morning and evening rush hours.
