Wayne Chute to Retire
Wayne Chute, Dean of Academic Records and Institutional Research and Biola's Registrar for 30 years, has given official notification that he plans to retire as of August 31.
from Pat Pike, Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education:
"Wayne has faithfully served Biola University since 1979. This summer he completes 30 years with us.
"It is impossible to express the value that Wayne has been to the University in maintaining our academic records so as to facilitate educational quality standards, curricular development, honing of procedures and policies, remaining current on laws and regulations as well as accreditation requirements. His office has interfaced with state and federal agencies, supplying reports of enrollment and programming so as to maintain our academic standing.
"And all of this pales compared with the value of helping thousands of students successfully complete their degree requirements so they could go out to impact the world for the Lord Jesus Christ. Wayne's retirement will cause tremors widely across the Biola community, but we have confidence that God has chosen the timing and will continue to support us, as well as abundantly blessing Wayne and his wife, Leigh, as we all move forward in the guidance of our Lord."
"We have initiated a search to fill the position as soon as possible, though we will never be able to replace Wayne Chute."
