New "No Parking" Schedule on Biola Ave

The city has changed the 'no parking' period on Biola Ave from Mondays to Wednesdays.

The new schedule affects parking on both sides of Biola Avenue, from Rosecrans on the south to Mansa on the north.

There is now 'no parking' on Wednesdays from 5 am to 8 am, for streetsweeping. Students leaving their vehicles on the street overnight Tuesday night will need to have them moved by 5 am Wed or risk a ticket.

New signs have been posted, but have an incorrect time on them. The city originally posted the no-parking period as 9 am to 2 pm, but after negotiations with Biola officials, agreed to move the time back to 5 am- 8 am. The city has indicated that there will soon be 'new' new signs, with the 5 am time.

The previous prohibition was on Mondays from 5 am to 8 am. The new no-parking schedule is a result of the city contracting with a new waste management company, which is responsible for the city's trash pickup and streetsweeping.
