Symposium on Ethics this Weekend

This Symposium titled "Bioethics Unlocked" will focus on the the ethical issues in this complex field.

This weekend Biola is blessed to host an exceptional symposium titled, "Bioethics Unlocked" focusing on the individual in the field of Bioethics. If you find yourself questioning who is responsible for what happens in the field of Biology and medicine and the advances that are made in regards to ethics, well, then this is for you.

Bioethics is the study of controversial ethics brought by the advances in Biology and medicine Wikipedia.

The symposium is being held in the Crowell Building, Room 109, Biola University Campus on Saturday Nov, 5th 2011 from 8am to 5pm. There is free parking that will be shown by the various signs around campus.


The Speakers for this event include:

Vincent M. Fortanasce M.D.

fort Neu- rologist, Psychiatristt and Bioethicist. He is director of the Neurology Re- hablitation Clinic, and president of the CA chapter of Physicians for Compassionate Care.


Mary L. Davenport M.D.

davenport Ob/Gyn in private practice. She is president of the American Assn. of Pro-Life Ob/ Gyns (AAPLOG) and medical director of Magnificat Maternal Health Project in Nigeria.


James A. Rainboldt, Esquire

Law- yer in private practice representing cli- ents in Constitutional law and civil rights, family law, labor and employment law, litigation, and personal injury matters


D. Alan Shewmon, M.D.

shewmon Chief of Neurology at Olive View-UCLA Medical Center, and Clinical Professor of Pedi- atric Neurology, UCLA. Board certified in Clinical Neurophysiology and Psy- chiatry/ Neurology.
