Pay Your Library Fine With Food?

Owe something for an overdue book? Clear your account and do a good work at the same time.

From December 5 – 15, donations of non-perishable food items (canned or dried goods only) may be submitted to the Library Circulation Desk to reduce or even eliminate overdue book fines. Suggested donation is 1 item per $1.00 in fines. All food will be donated to the La Mirada Holiday Food Drive. Food items must have a future expiration date. A maximum amount of $10.00 will be taken off your library account. This offer is good for current fines only. Donations cannot be applied to lost book charges or fines that have gone over to school accounts. If fines are less than a whole dollar amount, no change will be given.
