9:30 am Chapels are not the only opportunities for Biola students to gather together to worship. There is Singspiration on Sunday nights, AfterDark on Wednesday nights, and Saturday morning Sabbathings. All of these opportunities are awarded chapel credit.

Also, periodically certain departments on campus present Chapels services. While these are often targeted towards students with particular majors or interests, they are open to all students. Attendance is recorded for spiritual development credit (one credit, unless otherwise noted).

Singspiration

A Biola tradition for decades, student-led Singspiration (known as "Singspo") happens every Sunday night at 8pm in Chase Gym. For Spring 2013, the first Singspo is 2/3, and the final one is 5/12. The only blackout date is 3/31, for Spring break.

Fives

Fives is a simple time of prayer and Scripture meditation at 5 o'clock on Tuesdays. For Spring 2013, the first Fives is 1/29, and the final one is 5/14.

AfterDark

Another student-led Chapel experience, AfterDark is held Wednesday evenings at 9:10 pm in Calvary Chapel. For Spring 2013, the first AfterDark is 1/30, and the final one is 5/15. There will be no AfterDark on 3/13 (Missions Conference) or 4/3 (Easter Break).

Sabbathing

On three Saturdays a semester from 9am to 12pm, we rest from our work for an extended period of time in a kind of "mini-retreat," designed to help us listen of the loving work of God in our lives. For Spring 2013, Sabbathing will be held on 2/9 (in Calvary), 3/23 (in Calvary) and 5/11 (in the Gym).
